Emergency Lighting

To comply with BS5266: 2004 , Emergency Lighting Systems should be inspected daily by a responsible person.

The responsible person is also required to perform a monthly functionality test and record the results in the Emergency Lighting Log Book

The system must also be fully inspected and batteries discharged annually for the full duration of the specified battery life (Generally 3 hours minimum) —this must be done by a suitably qualified engineer.
